In the platform game We are Subjects, you take the role of a few prisoners destined to retrieve crystals or die trying. The more crystals you bring back to the base, the further into the cave you can reach. What will happen when you reach the deepest part of the cave? The caves are inhabited by floating space turtles (it’s what many players think it is anyway) and is contaminated with poisonous gas. The deeper into the caves you reach, the heavier the posion gets. To survive, you need to collect floating mushrooms and trade with an old hungry man. He has a few upgrades that makes life easier in the caves.
We are Subjects is a platform game based around two of my favorite things: ninja ropes (aka grapple hooks) and procedurally generated levels. The game made in XNA 4.0 and is using Farseer for physics and lighting from this site. The game was developed mostly during 2012, as a hobby project. I wanted to make a game completely about ninja ropes. It’s a great mechanic and something I’ve never done before.
To play the game, you need XNA 4.0 redist installed: link
